Happy Thanksgiving

What a lovely morning we had today.  The temperature dropped into the 20’s and there was the first skim of ice on the water. As thin as it was, the ice seemed to discourage the ducks and geese from making their presence known this morning. Perhaps they paid attention to what happened to the turkey that lingered a little too long in the neighborhood and they made a hasty retreat; at least for this weekend.

I almost posted a Nutritional Chart instead of the turkey photo, but it seemed pointless. After all, that would not account for stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie, etc.   Suffice to say, I expect I may cross paths with more than a few of you on Friday as we walk off some of the calories (before making a nice sandwich with the leftovers).

Have a great Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend!

Saw on the tv that an Outback Steakhouse cheese fries appetizer has more calories than a typical Thanksgiving dinner. So not to worry except maybe watch out when I am on my daily walk around the pond as I kinda zone out. By the way Outback.com has an online calorie counter and shows the cheese fries at 2134.3 cal.

Ed, thanks for the info. I’ll bet the cheese fries appetizer tips the “cholesterol-meter” as well. Now, go cut yourself another slice of pie.
