April 5, 2011 Presentation to Ayer Board of Selectmen

A picture is indeed worth a thousand words...from the air, the pond looks more like a forest.

This post is being written a couple hours before our presentation to the Ayer Board of Selectmen.  Our Petition was submitted to the Board by the Town Clerk in January, after he had certified the signatures.

This evening we will position why we have opted for the petition as our method of securing a place on the Annual Town Meeting Warrant.

Download the handout (it is a 3.5MB file, so it may take a moment to load) that will be used during this discussion, it is a visual tour of the woeful condition of Flannagan Pond after years of neglect.  It is our hope that the Selectmen will support this article on the floor of Town Meeting in May.

The handout is great! Thanks for putting it together. How was Tuesday? Did you get a sense of things to come or a “next step” from the Board?

Michelle, I will be posting an overview of the April 5th meeting later today. Generally the Board of Selectmen were supportive. More details to follow, as well as next actions.
